The first few days we had mostly calm seas. There were not many pirates. Kate allegedly saw a dolphin after some libations. There has been plenty of sun. The first day was pants weather. Since then I have been braving shorts.
We are now coming into some interesting weather. The waves over the next 36 hours will be increasing up to 15-20 feet. So far we have seen up to 6ft, which was enough to briefly submerge our porthole (cabin window). The weather will NOT be dangerous, but will make daily activities more interesting.
The captain made the decision to head more south as we left Lisbon to try and avoid this weather, but soon he will point the boat along the great circle and head directly to our final destination, St Maarten.
Other interesting stats. The boat is about 1/3 full with a little over 100 guests. There are 220 crew. The staff are usually very attentive with multiple crew trying to take away my plate before I am done mopping up all the yolk and hollandaise sauce from my Eggs Benedict.
Here is the current view.

Hopefully, neither of you experience sea sickness!
